Cat beds

I finished the cat bed from the 2nd Treasury of Magical Knitting (the second thing I've made from the book - first was just a small Moebius scarf from a luscious handpainted alpaca). I finished it Wednesday, the 21st of September



This is Schmooey, testing it out before it's felted. Sadly, this is the last picture I have of my dear Schmoo. He suffered a blood clot Thursday caused by a bad heart, and Friday morning at the vet's, he was suffering from congestive heart failure and I made the choice to not make him suffer for my sake. So he never got to see the catbed felted. He would've liked it. The other two do...



I knit it from Arunica Naturewool, which isn't quite a thick enough wool, so the edges don't stand up. Doesn't stop kitties from loving it, though. Next I'll make them a small felted blanket, to further save the couch from fur. And maybe a second small blanket for the ottoman...
